The Miss Heritage Pageant was founded in 2017 to inspire and empower young women by promoting confidence, self-esteem, and communication skills. As the organization grew, it became clear they needed a cohesive brand identity that reflected the elegance and professionalism of the pageant while also appealing to participants and their families.

The challenge was to create a brand that felt polished yet approachable, incorporating visual elements that spoke to empowerment and tradition while providing tools like branded stationery and social media assets to help the pageant connect with its audience effectively.

The process

Designing a brand that symbolizes justice, unity, and forward momentum.

Discovery: I collaborated with the Miss Heritage team to understand their values and goals, focusing on themes of confidence, grace, and community impact.

Logo Design: I designed a modern and elegant logo that incorporates a crown motif, symbolizing achievement and empowerment, paired with a timeless script font to reflect the pageant’s traditional roots.

Brand Identity: Since the Miss Heritage Pageant was the culmination of the community’s May Day celebration, the brand identity includes a refined color palette of Spring Yellow and Vintage Blue. Spring Yellow symbolizes warmth, positivity, and new beginnings, while Vintage Blue signifies timeless elegance, reflecting the historic roots of May Day. Together, these colors evoke a sense of nostalgia, capture the essence of tradition, community, and reflect the vibrancy of spring.

Social Media Graphics: I created a suite of social media templates for promotional posts and event countdowns, helping the pageant build excitement and engagement across platforms.
