Are We There Yet Campaign
The world has a plastic problem. 8 million pieces of plastic find their way into our oceans every day. That’s equivalent to about 2 garbage trucks every minute! If these consumption habits continue, scientists predict that by 2050 there will be more plastic than sea life in the ocean.
This conceptual set of billboards aims to raise awareness and teach about plastic consumption and recycling.

In addition to displaying billboards, 4Ocean would partner with major news outlets and social media companies to place a counter (ad) titled “Are we there yet?” that counts up showing the number of plastic that makes its way into the ocean each day or counts down to the year 2050.
Lastly, this campaign will run simultaneously with billboards in Times Square and other major cities. These billboards will countdown in real-time to the year 2050. The URL “AreWeThereYet.com” will be featured at the bottom of the ads. This will link to information on how to recycle and decrease plastic consumption.
